Deadly Morning Ride: Gladwin County ATV Crash Claims Local 23-Year-Old

Last Saturday, an ATV ride in Sage Township ended in tragedy when 23-year-old Jerod Guoan died after crashing at a private home in Gladwin County. Deputies arrived to a chaotic scene around 10:40 a.m., as first responders tried to save the young rider while stunned neighbors looked on and later asked for privacy.

According to Mid‑Michigan NOW, deputies and emergency crews were called to the residence last Saturday morning after the ATV crash. Law enforcement attempted life-saving measures at the scene, but Guoan was pronounced dead a short time later.

WNEM reported that Guoan had been riding a Yamaha quad-runner on the property when the crash occurred. Officials have not released additional information about what led up to the incident as the investigation continues.
