One shooting took place in the 19000 block of Kelly Road on Detroit's east side, the other in the 8700 block of Quincy Street on the west side, both happening in roughly the same half-hour between about 3 a.m. and 3:30 a.m., according to WXYZ. Investigators told the station the circumstances behind each shooting are not yet known, and no arrests had been made as of Sunday.

The overnight killings come on the heels of other deadly incidents in the city in recent weeks, including a May 20 double-fatal shooting that left neighbors rattled, as reported by FOX 2 Detroit.
