The house on Cactus Plum Drive, near the Mayan Ranch area, was swarmed by law enforcement as word spread along the block. Deputies recovered a firearm at the scene and are now searching for a person of interest.
Deputies Respond After Relative Checks On Family
The case opened Tuesday when a worried family member went to check on relatives after being unable to reach them and instead discovered the 22-year-old man dead and the older woman hurt, according to KSAT. Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar told the outlet the injured woman “was not able to articulate very well and was somewhat combative with deputies on scene.”
Neighbors described the block as “very family oriented” and said the peace on their street has been shattered as investigators work in and out of the home.

Investigators have identified 65-year-old Anthony Wayne Neasham as a person of interest. Witnesses reported seeing him leave the home around 9:30 a.m. in a 2005 green Toyota Highlander with paw-print stickers on the rear and a camouflage-patterned hood, according to KSAT. Deputies say a gun was recovered inside the residence and warn Neasham may be armed and dangerous.
