
An afternoon burst of gunfire on Sunday rattled an Orange County block when, deputies say, a neighbor fired multiple rounds into a fence panel on Oak Grove Chase Drive, sending fragments flying and injuring a man nearby.
Deputies responded to the 1700 block of Oak Grove Chase Drive just before 3 p.m. after multiple callers reported gunfire in the neighborhood. The man struck by fragments from the fence was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
According to FOX 35 Orlando, early investigation indicates the shooting started when a neighbor opened fire on a fence panel. Pieces of that panel hit another man, who required medical attention. Deputies later arrested the shooter at or near the scene. Officials did not immediately release a motive or the identities of those involved.
What Deputies Say
Per the Orange County Sheriff's Office, deputies secured the area while detectives collected evidence and interviewed witnesses. The agency said the investigation is still active and that additional details will be released as they are confirmed. Authorities have not yet announced any charges while the inquiry continues.

Investigators are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or has surveillance footage from around the time of the shooting to contact the sheriff's office, as reported by FOX 35 Orlando.
