Terminal 26, a Thai floating-market–inspired restaurant from sisters Tanya and Niki Pattharakositkul, opened June 8 on the ground floor of Ponce City Market’s Central Food Hall. The seafood-forward street-food concept pairs water-inspired design and fresh seafood displays with an open kitchen that aims to re-create the feeling of ordering from a boat instead of a counter.
What To Expect
The menu leans seafood forward and is built for sharing, with plates like a crispy oyster pancake, Floating Market red curry, tamarind snapper, khao soi noodles and a chicken khao soi roti wrap, plus coconut custard pudding and mango sticky rice for dessert, according to WhatNow. Drinks range from beer and wine to craft cocktails, along with a frozen Singha slushie locally nicknamed “jelly beer,” per Terminal 26.
Design And Roots
The sisters behind Terminal 26 previously opened 26 Thai, Pink Lotus and Blackjack Bar Tapas, and they tapped Thai-based architects to help shape a dining room that channels Thailand’s floating markets with reflective tables, fishing-net accents and water-like finishes, according to Jamestown. The restaurant also lands in the middle of a broader shake-up at Ponce City Market as the developer deliberately refreshes the Central Food Hall lineup, a strategy examined by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
How To Go
Terminal 26 is taking reservations on Resy and will also accept walk-ins, with hours and contact details listed on the restaurant’s site. Terminal 26 lists hours as Sunday to Thursday, 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Friday to Saturday, 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m., and the team recommends booking early on opening weekend. Local previews identified June 8 as the official opening date, according to Rough Draft Atlanta.
The new outpost adds another international flavor to Ponce City Market’s Central Food Hall, which has been intentionally cycling in fresh concepts to keep the space feeling new. If the sisters’ other Atlanta ventures are any indication, diners can expect bold flavors, shareable plates and steady lines through the summer.
