Condado Tacos is rolling into Fairlawn next Tuesday, June 23, and it is not exactly sneaking in quietly. The Columbus-born taco chain will open at 11 a.m. at Summit Mall and says every customer who walks in the door on opening day gets free tacos. The first 100 people in line will score a “Year of Yum” prize, which means one free taco each week for a year through the Condado app. To sweeten the launch even more, the restaurant will be pouring a $6 house margarita for customers that day.
As reported by Cleveland.com, the new Condado will take over Unit 298B at 3265 W. Market St. inside Summit Mall and is scheduled to open at 11 a.m. The space previously held Sake Japanese Fusion and Bravo Italian Kitchen. The Fairlawn spot will serve the chain’s build-your-own tacos, bowls, burritos, and a lineup of chips and dips.
According to Simon, which operates Summit Mall, Condado already shows up in the mall directory as “coming soon” and is listed near the streetscape entrance by David’s Bridal. The directory also flags the store hours as “coming soon” for the new location.

Founder Joe Kahn launched the first Condado in Columbus in 2014, according to a BusinessWire report on the brand’s growth. The company’s first move into Northeast Ohio came in 2018 with a Pinecrest location in Orange Village, a step that surfaced in court filings and local coverage at the time.
