
Voila Cafe, a French-inspired fast-casual spot, is on track to start serving Pearl-area diners later this month from the Oxbow Building just off the bustling mixed-use district. The cafe, the first original project from restaurateur Stephan Raveneau, plans to serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, opening its doors daily at 7 a.m. with mornings built around fresh French pastries.
According to the San Antonio Current, Voila is moving into 1803 Broadway inside the color-splashed Oxbow Building. The menu is expected to feature croissants, charcuterie boards, croque monsieur sandwiches and waffles, with Raveneau telling the outlet he intends to keep prices approachable and operate primarily as a fast-casual cafe.

The Oxbow Building at 1803 Broadway has become something of a revolving door for concepts testing the Pearl orbit, previously hosting Italian cafe Arrosta. MySanAntonio reported on Arrosta's run out of Suite 101 and noted how the Broadway corridor has served as a proving ground for new food projects.
Owner Brings Sweet Paris Experience
Raveneau already has local credentials in the French-cafe lane. He operates the La Cantera franchise of Sweet Paris Crêperie & Café, which lists La Cantera among its locations. The University of Texas at San Antonio also credited Raveneau and Sweet Paris with providing crepes for a campus Francophonie event, underscoring his ties to local cultural and food initiatives, as noted by UTSA's College of Liberal and Fine Arts.
What This Means For Pearl Diners
The Pearl's dense mix of residents, nearby office workers and out-of-town visitors has turned the area into prime territory for concepts that can capture both the early pastry crowd and evening diners. Local coverage has documented a steady churn of openings and rebrands in the district, a pattern that could position Voila to draw repeat business from breakfast through dinner. Raveneau has said Voila will share a firm grand-opening date in the coming weeks. For now, the team is targeting a mid-June debut with daily 7 a.m. opening hours, and a finalized opening date and full menu are expected to be announced soon.
