A gas-station security camera captured two men leaving a small white car moments after a Saturday night shooting in Northwest Washington, D.C., that left a man with multiple gunshot wounds. Officers later found the victim in the 7000 block of Blair Road NW, and he is being treated at a hospital. The footage shows the car pulling up to the station and the pair getting out shortly after the shots were fired.
According to WJLA, the Metropolitan Police Department says the two men were talking with the victim when one of them fired several times before both suspects jumped back into the small white car and took off before officers arrived. The gas-station video, released as still images, shows one man dressed head to toe in black and the other in a gray hoodie.
What police are asking for
Per the Metropolitan Police Department, anyone with information is urged to call (202) 727-9099 or text tips to 50411 and not to approach the suspects. Investigators are also asking residents to review any door-bell or dash-cam footage and to share relevant photos or video with detectives handling the case.
Reward and next steps
Investigators are offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information that leads to an arrest in the case, according to WJLA. Detectives continue to comb through nearby surveillance footage and are urging anyone who was in the area of the 7000 block of Blair Road NW on Saturday night to contact MPD.
