
Gunfire broke the quiet in south St. Petersburg today, sending a young man to the hospital after officers rushed to the 2900 block of Emerson Avenue South and found him wounded.
Police: Victim Hospitalized
According to WFLA, St. Petersburg police said officers arrived to find a young man suffering from gunshot wounds and had him taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The outlet reports that investigators stayed at the scene to collect evidence while officers worked to piece together what led up to the shooting.

The incident unfolded along the 2900 block of Emerson Avenue South, a residential stretch of south St. Petersburg that property records place in the Palmetto Park/East Roselawn area near Kenwood.
