Woodland is about to get a fresh new option for game-night carb loading. Pizza Factory’s first local outpost is set to celebrate its grand opening on Wednesday, June 17 at the Westgate Shopping Center, bringing the chain’s signature hand-tossed pies to the neighborhood along with a small dine-in room.
The new spot will roll out a lunch buffet, a salad bar and beer-and-wine service when doors officially open. Owners and staff say the early response from nearby residents has been strong, and they have been visibly busy putting the finishing touches on the space ahead of the ribbon cutting.
According to What Now Sacramento, the Woodland Pizza Factory fills two adjoining units, Suites D and E at 353 W Main Street. The combined footprint clocks in at about 2,515 square feet and is set up to seat roughly 50 customers. The franchise agreement is held by Green Elephant Ventures LLC, per a company release covered by Franchising.com, where Pizza Factory’s CEO called Woodland “an exciting new market” for the brand.
Good Day Sacramento recently aired a preview of the grand opening and noted that the Woodland crew is “thanking residents for the warm welcome” even before the first official order goes out. The segment offers a quick walkthrough of the counter and dining area and includes staff interviews on menu highlights, giving locals an early peek at the team in action.
Pizza Factory has been quietly building out its West Coast footprint and now operates more than 100 locations, according to Pizza Marketplace. Industry and local coverage have tracked a cluster of recent openings in the greater Sacramento region. In April, the chain’s recent move into Folsom Village signaled a broader push into suburban retail centers.
What Woodland Can Expect
Franchisees told local reporters they plan to sponsor Woodland sports teams and community groups, according to What Now Sacramento. The Westgate Shopping Center, anchored by Raley’s and home to a cluster of neighborhood retailers, is the project site, per leasing notes from property manager Ethan Conrad Properties. Operators say being plugged into that community hub is central to their game plan for the store.
