
A late-night walk in Harlem turned violent Monday when a 50-year-old man was slashed across the face in front of 304 West 117th Street, just before 11:20 p.m., according to police. The attacker took off, and detectives are now asking New Yorkers to help track him down.
The assault happened at about 11:19 p.m., when, police say, a man approached the victim and cut the left side of his face. The suspect has not yet been identified.
NYPD Crime Stoppers has put out a wanted notice with still images and a short description, urging anyone who recognizes the person of interest to get in touch. Tipsters are encouraged to DM @NYPDTips or call the tip line at 1-800-577-TIPS. According to NYPD Crime Stoppers on Facebook, the individual displayed a sharp object before slashing the victim.

Investigators say the case remains active and are pressing for anyone who saw something to speak up so detectives can run down new leads.
