A Sunday evening crash on northbound Interstate 15 near mile marker 94 in Clark County turned deadly, leaving one adult man dead and four others injured, according to troopers on scene. All northbound lanes were shut down while two of the injured were flown out by air ambulance and two more were taken by ground to local hospitals.
As reported by the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the Nevada Highway Patrol confirmed the fatality and said two patients were transported by Life Flight while two more went by ground ambulance. The outlet noted that all northbound I-15 travel lanes were closed at mile marker 94, with traffic diverted at Exit 93 in Logandale so drivers could be turned around while crews worked the wreck.
How the Crash Unfolded
According to KTNV, a Nevada Highway Patrol spokesperson said the collision happened around 6:43 p.m., when a southbound vehicle lost control, crossed the median and slammed head-on into a northbound vehicle. Troopers described an active, chaotic scene and initially kept all but one northbound lane closed while investigators documented the crash and cleared debris.
Traffic Impacts and Detours
Drivers heading north ran into major delays and were urged to steer clear of the area while emergency crews worked the scene. Local authorities directed traffic off the highway at Exit 93 to help turn vehicles around and keep more cars from piling into the backup.
The Nevada Department of Transportation maintains a crash database that state and local agencies use to spot problem areas and prioritize safety projects on high-speed corridors such as I-15, according to the Nevada Department of Transportation.

Troopers told KTNV that the scene remained active as investigators worked to piece together exactly what led up to the impact. Officials have not yet released the identity of the man who died and say more details will be shared once the investigation moves forward and next of kin are notified.
