
A late-night stabbing in south Sacramento left a man dead Thursday, after police say they found him wounded on Atlas Avenue near Franklin Boulevard just after 10:30 p.m.
Officers responding to reports of a stabbing discovered the victim suffering from at least one stab wound. He later died, authorities said. His name has not been released as detectives work to piece together what led up to the attack.
Sacramento police said they arrived at the scene shortly after 10:30 p.m. and found the injured man, but investigators have not released any suspect information and say the circumstances of the killing remain under investigation, according to CBS Sacramento.
