
A late-night argument near West 24th Street and Pillsbury Avenue in Minneapolis ended with a woman stabbed and a 49-year-old man in jail early Saturday, according to police. Officers say the woman’s wound was not life-threatening, no one else was hurt, and the man is being held in county custody on a second-degree domestic-assault allegation while detectives continue their investigation.

The Minneapolis Police Department reports that officers were called to the intersection of W 24th St. and Pillsbury Avenue at about 12:30 a.m. When they arrived, they found an adult woman with an injury consistent with an edged blade. As reported by KSTP, the suspect, a 49-year-old man known to the woman, was arrested at the scene and is being held at the Hennepin County jail pending a second-degree domestic-assault charge.

Police say the arrested man is being held on a second-degree domestic-assault allegation.
