Two juveniles were detained during the response, and officers reported no injuries. Police kept an elevated presence in and around the complex while detectives handled follow-up work.
According to the Lewisville Police Department, officers were on scene investigating reports of shots heard at the Villas at Waterchase apartments. The department said the affected area was roughly bounded by N. Old Orchard Lane to N. Valley Parkway and College Parkway to Main Street. The agency shared a brief status update as officers worked to secure the area and clear the scene.

The department’s update stated that both suspects have been detained and emphasized that there is no longer any danger to the public, according to the post. Police identified the suspects only as juveniles and did not release ages or other identifying information. Detectives stayed on site conducting interviews and preliminary follow-up, per the department’s account of the incident.
