
Pennsylvania State Police in Mansfield are asking Tioga County residents to help track down a man they believe is linked to several robberies across the New York state line. Troopers say the search is active, and they have released an image of the person of interest. Authorities are urging people not to confront him and to share any tips with law enforcement right away.
What police released
In a public alert, Mansfield State Police described the suspect as a white man last seen in a green hooded sweatshirt, dark shorts, white socks, and white sneakers. He is suspected of multiple robberies in New York, according to WENY. The alert included a photo released by Pennsylvania State Police to help the public recognize him. Troopers say the manhunt remains active as investigators chase leads in both Pennsylvania and New York.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Pennsylvania State Police Mansfield barracks at 570-662-2151 or dial 911. The Pennsylvania State Police Troop F contact page lists the Mansfield station number and address. Suspicious-activity reports can also be submitted through PSP's See Something Send Something app. Troopers stress that the public should not try to approach the man and should instead report locations, times and vehicle descriptions to investigators.
What residents should do
Troopers are urging residents to stay alert, lock homes and vehicles, and review security camera footage for anything unusual, according to the Mansfield alert reported by WENY. Anyone who spots someone matching the description is asked to call 911 immediately and relay details to investigators.
