Traffic and curiosity both slowed Tuesday morning at the intersection of E. 178th Street and Euclid Avenue on Cleveland’s East Side, where a large police presence converged and stayed put for hours in the city’s North Shore Collinwood neighborhood.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner was called to the scene, and crews remained on site into the late morning as the situation unfolded.
According to 19 News, the activity was still underway as of 11 a.m. Tuesday. The station reported it had reached out to Cleveland Police for more details and published a photo from the scene while officials kept a tight lid on public information.
East Side Context
Euclid Avenue is a major east–west corridor through Cleveland, cutting directly through North Shore Collinwood, a neighborhood that has seen several high-profile investigations in recent months. In March, investigators linked the bodies of two young girls found in suitcases on the East Side, a case reported by ideastream.
Official Response
Cleveland Police had not publicly released details by midmorning, according to 19 News. The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed it had been called to the intersection, but no further information was immediately available.
Hoodline is monitoring the situation and will update this article as soon as authorities release additional details.
