A domestic dispute inside a Nashua apartment ended with a husband in the hospital and his wife behind bars with no bail, after police say she stabbed him multiple times on Wednesday. The man was treated at a local hospital for what authorities described as non-life-threatening injuries, and a judge later ordered the suspect held without bail, according to court records.
Police say they found knife on counter, blood in apartment
Officers were called to a disturbance at a Kinsley Street apartment, where they reported finding a knife on the kitchen counter that matched the weapon described by the victim, along with blood droplets scattered throughout the home, according to the Lowell Sun. The man told investigators he had been stabbed in the left shoulder and between the fingers on his left hand. He was taken to a nearby hospital, and his injuries were not considered life-threatening. Police arrested 25-year-old Keilin Hernandez at the scene and charged her in connection with the stabbing.
Court papers detail alleged motive and charges
In a complaint, Hernandez allegedly told investigators she struck her husband with the knife to “show him the pain he caused her” after he had allegedly twisted her arm and grabbed her neck, according to court papers cited by the Lowell Sun. She was arraigned Thursday in the 9th Circuit - Nashua District Court, where a judge found probable cause and ordered her held without bail. Hernandez faces three counts of second-degree assault with a deadly weapon and was scheduled to return to court Wednesday morning.
