Provided Coffee is pulling the plug on its NoDa café this Sunday, with the final day of service set for June 21. The Charlotte-born brand opened the North Davidson Street storefront in October 2025, so the closure comes less than a year after the doors first swung open. Staff from the NoDa shop are set to move over to the company’s Concord café and to its mobile coffee cart as the space winds down.
As reported by the Charlotte Observer, the team announced the closure on June 8 in an Instagram post that pointed to “changes to our building” and stressed that “there is no villain in this story.” According to the paper, the shop plans to go out on a high note, with a DJ and drink specials on its final day of service.
According to Provided Coffee's website, the NoDa café sits at 3100 N. Davidson St., while a larger Concord location operates at 159 Brumley Ave NE, and the company also highlights a coffee cart available for events. In the Instagram message, quoted by the Observer, the owners wrote that “Provided NoDa was a last second life boat to serve Charlotte during the closure of our flagship Uptown location,” and the paper notes that staff from NoDa will join the Concord team and work the mobile cart.
From Cart To Café: A Quick Timeline
Axios Charlotte covered the October 2025 debut of the NoDa storefront, pointing out that it followed the closure of Provided Coffee’s Uptown spot in September. The Concord location opened in 2023 and comes in at roughly 5,000 square feet, which Explore Cabarrus lists as making it one of the larger coffee shops in North Carolina.
Neighbors React And What Comes Next
On neighborhood message boards, the news drew a mix of surprise and a bit of “here we go again.” A thread on Reddit shows locals debating whether NoDa is oversaturated with cafés and speculating about how factors like visibility or rent might have played a role.
According to Provided Coffee's website, the Concord shop and the mobile cart will keep serving customers even as the NoDa location pours its last shots.
