
A weekend ride east of Prineville ended in tragedy for 56-year-old Jason Fall, who died after a solo motorcycle crash on Ochoco Ranger Station Road on Saturday evening. Deputies say Fall was thrown from his bike when it struck a guardrail, sending him over the barrier and down the roadside embankment. He was rushed to a local hospital, then flown to Bend, where he later died from his injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
Crash Details And Location
According to the Central Oregonian, the Crook County Sheriff's Office reported that the collision happened just before 5:46 p.m. on June 13 near milepost 7.5 on Ochoco Ranger Station Road, about 20 miles east of Prineville. Investigators said Fall's motorcycle hit a guardrail, ejecting him over the metal barrier and into the roadside area below.
Response And Medical Transport
KTVZ reported that Crook County Fire and Rescue, the Oregon State Police, Life Flight and STAR Towing all responded to the scene. Fall was taken first to St. Charles Prineville for emergency treatment, then airlifted by Life Flight to St. Charles Bend for further care. Despite those efforts, he later succumbed to his injuries at the Bend hospital.

The Crook County Sheriff's Office told the Central Oregonian that alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash, and that the investigation is still ongoing. The agency publicly thanked the responding crews and extended its "thoughts and prayers" to Fall's family and friends as they absorb the loss.
