
A 19-year-old man is fighting to recover after a pre-dawn shooting on Wednesday in northwest Baltimore, according to police. Officers responded to the 2900 block of Baker Street at about 3:03 a.m. and found him suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to an area hospital, where he remains in serious condition.
Officers were called out shortly after 3 a.m., and Northwest District shooting detectives stayed on scene collecting evidence, Fox Baltimore reports.
Recent violence on Baker Street
Last month, an 18-year-old woman was killed on the 3100 block of Baker Street, part of a troubling pattern of gun violence on and near the corridor, according to teen woman gunned down on Baker Street. Community members and investigators have urged anyone with video or information to come forward.
