Fire Pio Pio, the family-owned chicken shop that opened in Pueblo in 2025, is taking its crispy chicken sandwiches, wings, and wraps up the road to Colorado Springs. The move will be the brand's first location outside Pueblo and signals a growing appetite for its fast-casual approach to grilled and fried chicken.
According to WhatNow Media Group, the Colorado Springs outpost is slated for 12229 Voyager Parkway, Suite 170, and the owners announced the news on social media. Owner Héctor Aguirre told WhatNow that work is underway, but he could not provide an exact opening date. "We will have all kinds of food, all fresh, nothing frozen, and really good hospitality," Aguirre said.
Sign Permit And Buildout Activity
Pikes Peak Regional Building Department records show a wall-sign permit (Q02440) for 12229 Voyager Pkwy, with approval activity logged in May 2025, a public filing that matches the reported move into Northgate Village. The permit record and review logs indicate an active tenant buildout and preparations for signage at the site.
From Pueblo To Voyager Parkway
Fire Pio Pio describes the concept as family-run and focused on bold chicken flavors made fresh daily. It identifies Héctor Aguirre and Carlos Farias as the owners and lists the current Pueblo location at 2021 S Pueblo Blvd, Unit 120. The menu highlights grilled chicken, crispy chicken sandwiches, wings, loaded fries, and signature sauces, items the owners say they will bring to the Colorado Springs shop.
No firm opening date has been announced, and Aguirre told WhatNow the team is watching construction and permitting timelines closely. Fans can follow the restaurant's site and social channels for official opening updates as the buildout progresses.
