
Two men were found shot and killed Friday afternoon along Sills Road near the small Colusa County town of Arbuckle, authorities said. Deputies responding to a report of a possible deceased person discovered the victims and pronounced them dead at the scene. The county later identified the men as Yolo County residents Jason Edward Carr, 48, and Richard Leon Mathies Jr., 36.
Deputies arrived around 4:53 p.m. after the call reporting a possible deceased person, according to CBS Sacramento. Investigators said both men were found unresponsive with apparent gunshot wounds, and the circumstances surrounding the killings remain under investigation.
