What should have been a quiet Father’s Day in Delafield turned chaotic after police say a son shot his father, drawing a heavy law enforcement response and rattling a normally calm neighborhood. Officers cordoned off a home as investigators worked the scene, while residents reported hearing multiple gunshots and shouting.
Authorities responded Sunday and blocked off the residence while investigators collected evidence, according to CBS 58. The station reported that the Delafield Police Department and the Waukesha County Sheriff's Office did not immediately return requests for comment.
Neighbors Describe Hearing Shots
CBS 58 crews at the scene saw evidence markers on the home's front steps, and neighbors told the station they heard three shots followed by yelling. One resident said her husband and son were on the roof when they heard what they believed were gunshots.
Investigation Ongoing
Police have not released the identities of those involved or said whether any charges have been filed, and the case remains under investigation. Investigators stayed at the scene Sunday as they gathered evidence and spoke with neighbors, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
