Strategic Hospitality has circled June for the debut of Sally’s Stay Awhile, the group’s new all-day neighborhood restaurant in Nashville’s Wedgewood-Houston. The compact corner spot is moving into the former Smokin’ Thighs building at 611 Wedgewood Ave and is set up to serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner to nearby residents and match-day crowds.
According to the Nashville Business Journal, Strategic Hospitality is targeting a June opening for Sally’s. The group also lists the project on its site and on the restaurant’s project page at Sally’s Site, noting that a soft-opening calendar and official hours will drop in the coming weeks.
Chef, menu, and hours
Chef Andy Little, the former Josephine chef who joined Strategic Hospitality as director of culinary operations, will run the kitchen. He is putting together an all-day menu that features housemade pastries, sandwiches, rotisserie chicken, and larger dinner plates, Nashville Scene reports.
The plan calls for an open-to-close coffee program and a full bar, with menus that shift throughout the day so guests can drop in for a quick bite or hang around a while, true to the name.
Where it fits in Wedgewood-Houston
Sally’s Stay Awhile will be Strategic Hospitality’s second concept in Wedgewood-Houston after Bastion, arriving as the neighborhood keeps drawing new restaurants and retailers. Recent high-profile additions and projects, from Pastis and luxury retail to the planned Live Nation venue The Truth, are reshaping foot traffic and the daily rhythm in the corridor, according to regional listings and reporting.
Permits and hiring
Public records show license applications for Mathews Wedgewood Restaurant LLC at 611 Wedgewood Ave filed under the Sally’s Stay Awhile name, an administrative step recorded in the Metropolitan Beer Permit Board. Job postings on Indeed list server and barista roles for Sally’s, indicating the team is actively hiring ahead of the planned June opening.
Sally’s project page currently lists the concept as opening in spring 2026 and invites visitors to sign up via email for updates. Expect the restaurant’s own channels to share the official soft-opening schedule and reservation details once the timeline is locked in.
