A hallway argument over spilled ice on the 900 block of West Huisache Avenue turned violent late Saturday when one woman was stabbed and both people took off before police arrived. Officers who searched the area later found a trail of blood, but no arrests have been made, and investigators say the case is still wide open.
According to News 4 San Antonio, officers were dispatched at 8:56 p.m. on June 28 to reports of a fight in a hallway. The station reports an unknown female suspect and another woman were arguing over spilled ice when the suspect allegedly pulled out a sharp instrument and stabbed the other woman. Both the suspect and the complainant fled before officers got there, and police said they were unable to locate the injured person at the scene, according to the outlet.

As News 4 San Antonio quoted investigators, “The case remains an active investigation, and the information released so far is subject to change.” Officers found a blood trail at the scene, but authorities have released few additional details about the victim’s condition. Detectives have not announced any arrests as they continue to follow up on leads.
