Tied To An April Indictment
Officials say Friday's search is tied to an April indictment of James Dolphs Elmore Jr., who was charged with manslaughter and felony tampering in the deaths of Laura Miller and Audrey Cook, according to the Houston Chronicle. Prosecutors told the paper that their grand jury presentation followed a multiyear review of evidence and witness interviews connected to the Calder Road field.

A video posted by FOX 26 Houston shows dozens of Texas EquuSearch members back at the scene, some of them veterans of past searches in the same patch of land. EquuSearch founder Tim Miller, whose daughter Laura was one of the Calder Road victims, has told investigators that Elmore approached him years ago and said there might be another body buried in the area, as reported by Click2Houston.
