Chimac, the Houston-born Korean American fusion eatery, is moving into Westchase with a new outpost in the Lakeside Village Shopping Center. Owners Daniel and Andrew Kim say the build-out is already underway, and the Westheimer Road spot is slated to open later this year. When it does, it will mark Chimac’s third Greater Houston location, joining its existing Cypress-area outposts.
As reported by What Now Houston, the new restaurant will land at 10852 Westheimer Rd in the Lakeside Village Shopping Center. The outlet notes that Daniel Kim briefly confirmed the opening window but did not share further details at the time.
From 2018 Roots To Fast-Casual KBBQ
Chimac launched in 2018 and bills itself as a Korean American fusion kitchen that pairs cooked-to-order Korean BBQ with an American-style fast-casual setup, according to Chimac. The menu leans into comfort favorites like marinated bulgogi, KBBQ steak bowls, spicy kimchi fries and 24-hour brined wings, with the brand highlighting house-made sauces built from more than 19 signature spices. The company currently lists two Houston-area locations on its site.
Taking Over A Familiar Westheimer Address
The space at 10852 Westheimer Rd was most recently home to Krab Queenz Seafood & Daiquiris, which closed its Houston Westheimer location in late July 2024, per What Now Houston. Online listings for Krab Queenz at that address now show the restaurant as permanently closed, and directory pages still list the former tenant at the Lakeside Village address. Tripadvisor and map pages reflect the closure.

Chimac’s online ordering and location pages suggest the brand favors a fast, pickup-friendly format that may carry over to the Westchase storefront, though the owners have not yet confirmed service details or hours for the new location.
