Las Vegas is about to get a serious sugar rush. Museum of Ice Cream is rolling out its biggest flagship anywhere in the world at Area15 this July, promising a super-sized, selfie-ready playground built to match the city’s love of spectacle.
In a company announcement, Museum of Ice Cream confirmed that Las Vegas will host its largest global location and teased new, city-inspired environments that lean into Strip-style showmanship. AREA15 lists the attraction as “coming soon,” and local reporting puts the footprint at roughly 30,000 square feet. KTNV also notes that the Las Vegas buildout will feature an ice-cream-themed hotel concept.
What To Expect Inside
The new flagship is set to bundle the brand’s signature installations into about 14 immersive playscapes, then crank everything up to Vegas volume. Coverage of the project points to Vegas-only features such as an expanded sprinkle pool, an ice cream buffet, a dessert playspace and themed hotel suites tucked into the attraction.
Eater Vegas and other local outlets also flag a roster of novelty moments designed for both Instagram and pure chaos: edible casino chips, a pink party bus and even a sprinkle-filled banana boat ride. The idea is to mash up Museum of Ice Cream’s photo-first rooms with the immersive, over-the-top style that has turned Area15 into a destination in its own right.
Opening Date And Tickets
Local TV coverage reports that the museum has set a July opening for the Area15 location, with FOX5 Vegas noting that Museum of Ice Cream announced its planned opening timeframe on June 16. Some outlets have gone further on specifics: Identity Vegas cites a July 9 grand opening.
For now, the museum’s own ticketing channels remain the final word on exact timing and early access sales. Museum of Ice Cream is steering fans to sign up for its newsletter to get first crack at tickets once dates are locked and time slots go live.
How It Fits Area15’s Expansion
Industry and local reporting frame Museum of Ice Cream as a marquee piece of Area15’s Zone 2 expansion, a multi-phase buildout that has been adding larger ticketed attractions and chef-driven dining concepts to the off-Strip complex. Operators say this next wave of venues, with Museum of Ice Cream as a headliner, is designed to pull in a broader mix of visitors and keep them on site longer than a quick visit between Strip stops.
AREA15 and local coverage describe the expansion as part of a multi-year push to reshape the entertainment corridor just west of the Strip, trading traditional casino floors for immersive art, experiences and destination dining.
Anyone hoping to be first into the sprinkle pool will want to keep a close eye on announcements from the museum and Area15 and join the museum’s mailing list. If past Museum of Ice Cream openings are any guide, timed tickets are likely to sell quickly once the Las Vegas flagship officially opens its doors.
