Last Wednesday a convenience-store clerk in southwest Atlanta was tied up on the job while a robber swiped cash and a cache of phones and tablets, police said. The holdup unfolded on the 1800 block of Delowe Drive SW after a person came in carrying a dark-colored suitcase, briefly left, then returned armed, according to officers. The clerk’s hands and feet were bound before the suspect fled toward the Campbellton Road corridor, and police have not announced any arrests.
Police: Suspect Returned With Knife, Took Phones and Cash
As reported by FOX 5 Atlanta, Atlanta police say the thief assaulted the clerk, tied her hands and feet and took cash along with roughly $6,200 worth of phones and tablets. Investigators said the person first walked in with a dark-colored suitcase, then came back holding what officers described as a kitchen knife. Surveillance video captured the suspect leaving the business and walking toward the Campbellton Road corridor as detectives canvass the area for leads.

Surveillance Footage And Local Trend
Surveillance images released by investigators show a person in blue jeans, a white T-shirt, a light-blue denim jacket, a white ski mask and black shoes leaving the store, authorities say. As reported by FOX 5 Atlanta, the suspect was last seen heading toward the Campbellton Road corridor after the theft. The robbery follows other recent violent attacks on store workers in the city; a June 8 report by Cleveland Avenue clerk shot described a worker who was struck during a late‑May robbery.
