Monroe police are asking for the public's help to track down a man they say pulled off a quick snatch-and-grab at the Kay Jewelers in Poplin Place, then took off running toward the Burlington Coat Factory area.
According to investigators, the theft happened on June 24 at the Kay Jewelers at 3039 W. Highway 74. Surveillance images released Friday show a man with distinctive tattoos on his hands and wrists who allegedly grabbed multiple high-value pieces of jewelry before fleeing on foot. Detectives say those images could be key to finding both the suspect and the missing merchandise.
In a post on the Monroe Police Department's Facebook page, officers shared several surveillance stills and said the suspect entered the store, made his move, and bolted with several expensive items. The department notes that information leading to the man's identification and arrest could be eligible for a cash reward.
