An 18-year-old driver is now facing charges in connection with a July 11, 2025 crash on State Highway 29 near Wynnewood that killed three teenagers, according to family members and law enforcement. Family members say she turned herself in last week and was released without bond. Two teens died shortly after the collision, and a third later died from injuries.
Charges filed, families notified
Family members told KOCO the 18-year-old surrendered last week and is facing criminal charges related to the wreck. They said the FBI notified them that charges had been filed, and the station reported that details about the specific counts were not immediately available. KOCO also reported the driver was released without bond after surrendering.
Crash and investigation
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol's collision report, the crash happened when a 2024 Nissan Altima failed to yield at a stop sign and was struck by a 2021 Nissan Titan near the intersection of State Highway 29 and U.S. 177, about 10 miles east of Wynnewood, as reported by KXII. Four teenagers were inside the Altima; two were pronounced dead at area hospitals and another was airlifted to OU Medical Center in critical condition, troopers said.
Victims and community reaction
Two of the victims were identified as 14-year-old Malakye Miles and 15-year-old Brook Lynn Faith Dooley, and a 17-year-old passenger, Andrew Watson, later died of his injuries, according to KOCO. Hoodline previously covered the original July collision in a post titled Two Teens Killed, which summarized early reporting and neighbors' concerns about that stretch of SH‑29.
