A tornado warning snapped into place Wednesday afternoon for eastern Fond du Lac County after radar picked up rotation inside a fast-moving thunderstorm near Campbellsport. The alert was set to run until 3:45 p.m. as the storm charged northeast toward Fond du Lac at roughly 60 miles per hour, with forecasters warning that flying debris could threaten anyone caught outside and that mobile homes were especially at risk.
According to the National Weather Service Milwaukee/Sullivan, the warning was issued at 3:11 p.m. CDT and highlighted several communities as potentially in the path. Calvary, Marytown, the Town of Forest, Mount Calvary, St. Cloud, Eden, Johnsburg, Pipe and Waucousta were all named. The agency said the storm, located near Campbellsport at 3:10 p.m., was moving northeast at about 60 mph. WTMJ also reported the alert and passed along the National Weather Service advisory.

Forecasters warned that flying debris could be dangerous to people without shelter, that mobile homes could be damaged or destroyed, and that roofs, windows and vehicles were all vulnerable to the storm.
