West Plano has a new game-day hangout. Victory Tap, a modern American sports lounge from Dallas restaurateur Alberto Lombardi, quietly swung open its doors this weekend in West Plano Village and is already angling to be the neighborhood’s go-to spot for big screens, long happy hours, and lazy weekend brunch. The space is designed as a casual hub for nearby residents and tollway commuters looking for sports, snacks, and something a little livelier than the usual chain restaurant.
As reported by Weitzman, Victory Tap took over roughly 7,500 to 7,600 square feet in a freestanding corner building that previously housed Kona Grill and officially opened on Saturday, June 13. The brokerage notes that Michelle Caplan and Emilie Paulson handled lease negotiations for the space at West Plano Village. Weitzman also describes Victory Tap as the first dedicated sports bar concept from the Lombardi group.
Menu, happy hour and drinks
According to CW33, the menu leans into a mix of elevated bar bites and comfort food. Items called out include tuna crispy rice, miso cod, rigatoni alla vodka, chicken wings, and a Victory Smash burger. On the drinks side, the bar highlights local and popular beers, along with cocktails such as the Red Card.
CW33 also reports a hefty weekday happy hour, running Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., with $2 off spirits and wine by the glass and $1 off drafts. Weekend brunch is scheduled for Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. "Victory Tap was created as a place for big games, slow Sunday mornings and nights that stretch longer than planned," Lombardi told CW33, which seems to double as both a mission statement and a warning for anyone who is “just stopping by for one.”
Hours, booking and entertainment
Reservation and hours information on OpenTable lists weekday service into the evening with extended hours on weekends, along with a phone number for bookings. The OpenTable listing also flags a slate of on-site entertainment, including bocce and P2 F1 simulators, positioning Victory Tap as a place where you can work up an appetite without ever leaving the building.
Lombardi Family Concepts now features Victory Tap on its brands page alongside the group’s other Dallas-area restaurants, underscoring the company’s continued expansion across North Texas. The Weitzman release notes that Victory Tap joins a growing roster of retail and dining tenants at West Plano Village, reinforcing the development’s push to be a convenient dining destination for nearby neighborhoods and tollway commuters.
