Rich Ellis, a senior communications manager for Advance Auto Parts, told the Jacksonville Daily Record that the Beauclerc Village site will operate as a market hub designed to boost parts availability and same-day fulfillment for nearby Advance stores and professional customers. City records show the permit for interior renovation at 9718 Old St. Augustine Road was issued July 15 at an estimated project cost just shy of $1.78 million, and McCoy Construction Services is listed as the contractor on the job.
What a market hub does
Unlike a typical neighborhood Advance store, a market hub is built to function as a local parts powerhouse. Industry reporting indicates these hubs usually stock about 75,000 to 85,000 SKUs and support a service radius that can cover dozens of surrounding stores, allowing technicians to get obscure or low-volume parts the same day instead of waiting on distant warehouses. The model is a key piece of Advance’s supply chain overhaul, which relies on large replenishment distribution centers feeding regional market hubs that sit closer to both DIY customers and repair shops, according to Supply Chain Dive.

The Jacksonville project is one node in a broader growth push. Advance has told investors it plans to open 10 to 15 market hubs and 40 to 45 new stores in 2026, working toward a goal of roughly 60 market hubs by 2027. With that kind of footprint and quick access to the interstate, the hub is positioned so nearby Advance stores, independent garages and fleet operators could face shorter waits for parts and fewer cross-town runs once the operation is up and running, according to Saglo and industry reporting.
