A 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an armed carjacking that happened last month in Baltimore's Belair-Edison neighborhood, with police saying a stolen Citizen watch was recovered from him. The arrest came more than five weeks after the June 21 robbery near Clifton Park Golf Course.
According to Fox Baltimore, Eastern District Directed Action Team officers arrested Deandre Brown without incident Wednesday in the 3200 block of Belair Road. Police said Brown was taken to the Central Booking Intake Facility and charged in connection with the armed carjacking.
Watch Recovered In Belair-Edison Investigation
The robbery was reported June 21 in the 3200 block of Harwell Avenue, an area next to Clifton Park Golf Course. Police said officers later recovered the victim's stolen Citizen watch from Brown's possession.
The available account does not say whether the vehicle involved in the carjacking was recovered, whether investigators are looking for additional suspects, or whether the victim suffered injuries. Brown's arrest and charge are allegations, and he remains presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
Arrest Follows Other Carjacking Cases Along Belair Road
The case comes amid a series of recent carjacking and vehicle-theft investigations along the Belair Road corridor. In May, Hoodline reported an unrelated Belair-Edison case in which four armed men allegedly took a driver's vehicle near Juneway Avenue; police said no one was injured. Authorities have not said Brown is connected to that incident.
Citywide carjackings have nonetheless declined compared with last year. CBS Baltimore reported in May that Baltimore police had recorded a 41% reduction from the same point in 2025 while warning drivers about a separate “bump-and-rob” tactic in Northwest Baltimore.
Brown Taken To Central Booking
Brown was taken to the Central Booking Intake Facility after Wednesday's arrest, according to Fox Baltimore. The report did not list the specific counts filed or a court date, leaving those details to charging documents and upcoming court proceedings.
