Sun, Wind And A Dry Finish To The Week
Rain should be a nonfactor Wednesday, with only a tiny chance of a stray shower. The National Weather Service expects another sunny day Thursday with a high near 86, while Friday warms to around 89 under mostly sunny skies.
Wednesday night will be mostly clear with a low near 69, and Thursday night should be similarly comfortable by midsummer standards. Winds will ease later in the week, dropping to light levels by Friday as high pressure settles over the region.
Weekend Showers Return To The Forecast
Saturday stays warm, with a high near 89 and partly sunny skies, but the weather becomes less dependable after sunset. There is a 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms Saturday night, increasing to 40% Sunday as clouds build and the high reaches about 87 degrees.
Sunday night brings a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms, followed by another unsettled day Monday with a similar 50% chance and a high near 86. Tuesday looks a little brighter but still carries a chance of showers and thunderstorms, with a high near 88.
Boaters Should Watch Wednesday Winds
For people heading onto the Chesapeake Bay or nearby waters, northwest winds could gust to around 20 knots Wednesday. The National Weather Service says small craft advisories are posted for portions of the area through 6 p.m., with lighter winds expected by Friday.
That makes Wednesday through Friday the best stretch for dry outdoor plans in Baltimore, while Sunday and Monday look like the days most likely to interrupt barbecues, harbor outings and other weekend plans.
