
A 17-year-old woman was in critical condition Friday after being shot in southwest Baltimore, where police were working to determine who opened fire and why.
Baltimore Police Southwest District patrol officers responded around 12:15 a.m. to the 700 block of Lyndhurst Street after a shooting report, according to Baltimore Witness. Officers found the teen suffering from gunshot wounds that appeared life-threatening, and she was taken to an area hospital.
Detectives Ask For Tips
The initial report did not identify a suspect, describe a motive or say whether anyone had been arrested. The investigation remains active as detectives work to reconstruct what happened before the shooting.
