
Denver police are investigating a death discovered outdoors in central Denver near West 5th Avenue and North Bannock Street. Officers were at the scene early Sunday while the city’s medical examiner prepares to determine the cause and manner of death.
In a post on X, the Denver Police Department called the response an “outdoor death investigation” and said it would only update the message if the case is reclassified as a homicide. The department’s online pages list a non‑emergency line for tips at (720) 913‑2000, according to the City and County of Denver.
Medical examiner will determine cause
The Denver Office of the Medical Examiner investigates violent, suspicious, and unexpected deaths and will determine the cause and manner of death through autopsy and toxicology. The office’s site notes that it conducts scene investigations and issues findings that become part of official records and notifications to next of kin.
