A 23-year-old man was shot in the left eye and left groin Saturday night in the West Farms neighborhood of the Bronx, a burst of violence on East 176th Street near Prospect Avenue, police said. Officers arrived after a 911 call and found the wounded man on the block; EMS took him to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition. Investigators say a suspect fled on foot and remains at large.

According to the NYPD, officers responded to a 911 call at about 9:06 p.m. and found the 23-year-old with gunshot wounds. The department told News12 the victim was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition. Police described a suspect wearing a white shirt and black pants who ran off on Prospect Avenue and asked anyone with information to contact detectives.
Investigation ongoing
Police have not announced any arrests or identified a motive and say the investigation remains active. Detectives have not released further details about the shooting as they continue to follow leads.
