A late-night stickup in the Bronx has police asking the public for help after two unidentified people allegedly robbed a 23-year-old man of his diamond pendant at gunpoint. The holdup happened nearly three weeks ago, but the NYPD only went public with the case on Wednesday and is now offering up to $3,500 for information that leads to an arrest and indictment.
Police Seek Tips After Late-Night Robbery
In a Wednesday appeal from NYPD Crime Stoppers, investigators said the robbery unfolded at about 10:05 p.m. on Saturday, July 11, near West 183rd Street and Grand Avenue.
According to police, the 23-year-old was approached by two unidentified individuals who displayed a firearm and took the diamond pendant from his neck. The public notice does not give any suspect descriptions or indicate whether anyone was injured.
People with information are being urged to message @NYPDTips on social media or call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.

Robbery Reports Have Fallen Citywide
The appeal comes as the NYPD says robberies are actually trending down across New York City. In a July 2 crime update, the department reported that citywide robberies fell 15.7% during the first half of 2026 compared with the same period last year, dropping from 4,056 incidents to 3,421.
As of Wednesday, police had not announced any arrests, suspect names or links to other jewelry robberies in connection with the West 183rd Street case. Anyone who recognizes the individuals involved or has information about the stolen pendant is being asked to contact Crime Stoppers anonymously.
