An 18-year-old man from Arkansas was brutally beaten and pistol‑whipped inside an apartment at The Acadian in Brook Park on June 27, according to police. He bolted from the unit and was later found bleeding on Christene Boulevard, where medics picked him up and rushed him to a nearby hospital.
What police say
According to Cleveland.com, Brook Park officers say the confrontation began after the victim rejected sexual advances from a man he had been living with at the complex. A friend told the outlet that the victim stepped outside to get some air and then called friends when several men in black clothing entered the apartment and started punching and kicking him. One attacker allegedly pistol‑whipped him in the head, and by the time officers arrived, the 18-year-old was bleeding heavily.
Medical response
Paramedics transported the man to Southwest General Health Center in Middleburg Heights, where he was treated for a head wound. The hospital’s site notes its main campus and emergency services serve the surrounding communities.
Suspects and investigation
Brook Park police told Cleveland.com that six other males entered the unit during the incident. Investigators identified two 24‑year‑old Cleveland residents and a 48‑year‑old Parma resident among the alleged attackers. The victim has said he intends to press charges, and detectives are continuing to interview witnesses and review evidence while the investigation remains active.
