Two people are being sought after police say they walked into a Brooklyn commercial establishment Sunday evening, with one of them displaying a knife while the pair tried to take diapers and food from a shelf. The incident happened around 7:29 p.m. in the Canarsie area, turning a routine retail stop into a robbery investigation. The pair later fled in an unknown vehicle, police said.
In a wanted notice posted Wednesday, NYPD Crime Stoppers said the two unidentified individuals approached a 48-year-old male employee at 935 East 107th Street. One of them displayed a knife as the pair attempted to remove diapers and food from a shelf, according to the notice.
The suspects then fled southbound on East 107th Street in an unknown vehicle, according to police. The scene is within the NYPD's 69th Precinct, which covers Canarsie and includes several commercial corridors, the department's precinct overview says.

The notice did not announce an arrest.
