A shooting in Calhoun Falls left one person injured after gunfire tore into a vehicle carrying five people, and authorities now say a local man faces five attempted murder charges, according to FOX Carolina.
Detrich Quantel Norman, 45, was arrested Thursday in connection with the Wednesday shooting, according to WYFF News 4. Investigators said one person inside the vehicle was struck twice, though the victim’s current condition was not available.
Deputies Say Gunfire Hit Occupied Vehicle
The Abbeville County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting at a Calhoun Falls residence after a suspect allegedly fired into the occupied vehicle. The five people inside were placed in immediate danger, authorities said, and one occupant was hit by the gunfire.
Norman is also charged with discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle, being a felon in possession of a firearm and using a weapon during a violent crime. The available report did not identify a motive or explain what led to the shooting.
