
A quiet Sunday night in Wakefield turned grim when police discovered two people dead inside a Carpenter Avenue apartment building, authorities said.
Officers were called to 4053 Carpenter Avenue at about 11:45 p.m. Sunday. When they got inside, they found two people unresponsive in the building, and both were pronounced dead at the scene, according to police. Officials have not yet released the identities of the deceased or the cause of death.
As reported by News12 Bronx, investigators said the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death. The NYPD did not immediately provide additional details about how the two died.
