Fresh & Ready Foods has voluntarily pulled its Sprig & Sprout and Fresh & Ready Spicy Breakfast Burritos, produced at its Charlotte facility, over a limited run carrying a “Fresh Thru” date of July 20, 2026. The mistake also introduced undeclared soy, a major allergen. The company says no illnesses have been reported so far, but is urging meat-avoiders and anyone with a soy allergy to double-check their grab-and-go snacks.

The affected lots were produced between July 9 and July 12, 2026, at the company’s Charlotte plant, after which two customers reported finding sausage in a product that was labeled vegetarian.
