The two-night operation produced 10 arrests and 92 traffic stops, while officers seized seven firearms and 27.1 grams of narcotics. The sweep was aimed at preventing violence and keeping Center City disorder from spilling into the streets.

In a recap posted Wednesday, CMPD News said the operation focused on high-activity areas where officers were working to reduce nightlife disorder, maintain safe traffic flow and enforce vendor and alcohol rules. The Sweep Fits A Broader CMPD Crackdown
CMPD has described its wider Queen City Safe initiative as a recurring, multi-agency effort focused on identified hotspots across Charlotte. In a June department release, officials said a May operation in Uptown and South End generated 238 traffic stops, 18 arrests, 12 firearm seizures and approximately 233 grams of suspected narcotics.
The same playbook has recently appeared outside the Center City core. A recent city sweep in CMPD's Freedom Division resulted in nine arrests, six firearms recovered, 134 traffic stops and about 531.5 grams of suspected narcotics seized, according to the department's recap.
The Arrest Tally Is Not A Conviction Tally
The 10 arrests announced after this weekend's operation are allegations at this stage, not findings of guilt. CMPD's public recap listed enforcement totals but did not spell out the individual charges, leaving case outcomes to the normal court and prosecutorial process.
