Worcester police say an early-morning raid at The Spot restaurant on Grafton Street and a nearby Cutler Street apartment ended with the arrest of 45-year-old Davial Kirkpatrick on July 8, 2026. Officers reported seizing about 350 grams of suspected cocaine, fentanyl, several unlicensed firearms, digital scales and roughly $65,000 in cash. Police say Kirkpatrick tried to run but was caught a short distance away and taken into custody.

How Police Say The Raid Went Down

According to the Worcester Police Department, vice detectives served two search warrants at about 7:10 a.m., with one targeting The Spot at 314 Grafton Street and the other an adjacent Cutler Street apartment. The warrants followed what police described as a lengthy investigation into alleged drug distribution tied to those locations.

Detectives say they recovered keys to the restaurant near the spot where Kirkpatrick was detained, then used them to secure the business while other officers and a K-9 made entry into the apartment. Worcester police also noted that a Framingham Police K-9 helped with the sweep and that paperwork linking Kirkpatrick to the premises was found during the search.

What Officers Say They Found

As reported by Boston 25 News, officers located approximately 350 grams of cocaine, around 5 grams of fentanyl, digital scales and drug-processing materials. They also seized an AR-15 style rifle, an AR-15 style pistol, three 30-round magazines loaded with ammunition and large sums of cash. Boston 25 noted that it published photos of the seized evidence that were provided by Worcester police.

According to Boston 25, Kirkpatrick is facing a trafficking charge for more than 200 grams of cocaine, along with several firearms-related counts.

What Happens Next In Court

Per the Worcester Police Department, officers seized about $65,000 from the apartment and the restaurant and say Kirkpatrick does not have a license to carry firearms. Police said the trafficking and gun charges will move through the local court system and be reviewed by prosecutors before arraignment or any additional filings.

The department added that the investigation remains active and urged anyone with information to contact Worcester police.
