Surveillance video from the motel parking lot, obtained by Action News Jax, shows an SUV crashing into the Scottish Inn as officers with guns drawn surround a vehicle. Someone is seen jumping from the SUV and is quickly taken into custody, the outlet reports. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office confirmed to the station that it assisted the FBI in locating the girl in the San Marco area.
Levi’s Call And Last-Known Movements
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation issued the Levi’s Call for 13-year-old Layla Alexis Nubian Carter, who was last seen around 1 a.m. Thursday at a home on James Drive in Baxley with 32-year-old Giavannie Alexis Carter, according to WSB-TV. The alert said Layla was believed to be in “extreme danger” and that the pair might be traveling in a gray Jeep Renegade with Georgia plate SLU9322. Anyone with information was asked to contact the Baxley Police Department.

The Levi’s Call was canceled once the girl was found, according to CBS Atlanta. Officials have not released public details about exactly where she was located or whether the person named in the alert is facing any charges.
