Backyard cooks counting on their Cuisinart Propel+ Four Burner 3-in-1 gas grills for pizza night are being told to hit pause. Conair is recalling about 12,660 of the grills after reports that the tempered glass window on the pizza-oven lid can shatter while the grill is in use. Owners are being urged to stop using the grills immediately and can get refunds or full reimbursement after submitting photos and proof of purchase.

Per the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the recall was posted Thursday and covers roughly 12,660 units sold in the United States, plus about 83 sold in Canada. The agency says Conair has received 37 reports of the tempered glass shattering during use and one fire, with no injuries reported so far.

The recall targets model CGG-6331, a stainless-steel Propel+ that comes with a griddle, stovetop burner and a pizza oven featuring a tempered-glass viewing window. The grills were sold at Lowe's, Walmart and online at Cuisinart.com from December 2024 through May 2026 for between about $500 and $750, as reported by FOX 9.

What Owners Should Do

Conair and federal regulators say owners should stop using the recalled grills and carefully remove the pizza-oven glass following the firm’s instructions. Consumers are then asked to upload two photos to the recall portal: one of the removed glass and one showing the grill’s serial number. Once verified, customers will receive a $500 refund by check, or reimbursement for the original purchase amount if they provide a receipt. After the refund is issued, owners should mark the glass “Recall” and discard it, according to the CPSC.

Why This Matters

When tempered oven glass shatters, it can spray sharp fragments across the cooking surface, creating a laceration hazard and a risk of flames if shards hit hot grease. The recall arrives on the heels of a separate Conair and Cuisinart action earlier this month involving metal-bristle grill brushes, a one-two punch for the brand’s outdoor-cooking lineup. In that case, 1.7M Cuisinart Grill Brushes Recalled put grillers on high alert over stray metal bristles.
